Hi, Lee and I just wanted to say thanks for the holiday we had on your boat Genevieve on the Bridgewater canal earlier this month.

The first few days with the sunny weather were lovely, and then the great British weather changed!! Even so the boat was a pleasure to sail & live on board, and we eventually got the hang of mooring, the last day in rather windy wet weather!

Genevieve is a great boat, and the attention you gave to us both with regards to our induction was very helpful and informative. Thanks again for turning out to us at Anderton Boat lift when we couldn`t get into gear! The tunnels & small lock were a challenge, but we managed all of them without too many problems.

I can honestly say, canal boaters are one of the most friendliest and helpful bunch of people we have ever met. Everyone lets on and lends a hand if needed.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to experience a wonderful holiday last week. 4 teachers having a break were well and truly rested as well as shattered on their return home. Thanks again for a great boat.

From start to end our dealings with "Goods Hire" were excellent. The warm, friendly and extremely helpful reception in Ashton was matched by the supportive assistance during our trip. Acclimatisation to our boat was extremely well done. Thank you Graeme and Leslie for your help in the rain at the start of our holiday.

We took 'Genevieve' from Ashton to Lymm with ease and comfort - not that we needed the very effective stove or the heating much since the weather was excellent for the majority of our week and the boat was naturally warm and cosy.

None of us had spent a similar holiday for either a long time or ever but we quickly fell into the swing of mooring, cooking, eating and relaxing. People we met at all points on the canals, were friendly and helpful when we needed advice or direction. Moorings were plentiful and where we chose to stop was very attractive. Next time we will take time to go around the whole of the Cheshire Ring.

Hi, just a note to say thanks for the Holiday on your narrowboat, Genevieve.

Lymm was a lovely place to start from, and the journey along the cheshire ring was great fun. We had great weather but we would have enjoyed it come rain or shine. We travelled along the trent and mersey from Lymm and turned onto the Macclesfield canal towards the peak canal. There was glorious places to moor up for the night and enjoy a coffee in the morning amidst fantastic scenery.

The boat was roomy, and great that we could adapt the sitting area to have friends to stay with us for a few days. Your staff were great, promptly replying to any queries we had on the way and were really helpful and knowledgeable, and nothing seemed a problem to them, and had such a friendly manner.

The Cheshire ring is a great experience and would reccomend the varied challenge to everyone,the periods where there is great long pounds with no locks was glorious in the sun, although the locks and tunnels were fun and a chance to chat to other boaters, everyone appears so friendly on the canal, and to have a good narrowboat with the friendly and helpful prompt service you provide only adds to a relaxing holiday. Cant wait to get aboard again.
